From there you’ll transfer to the elegant Sorell Hotel Seefeld, your comfortable home for the duration of the tour. Located in Zurich’s charming Seefeld district near Lake Zurich and just minutes from the historic Old Town, this stylish boutique hotel provides the perfect base for exploring the city. After settling in and taking in your first impressions of Zurich, where medieval streets, Alpine scenery, and world-class museums come together, you’ll gather with your fellow travelers for a relaxed welcome dinner at a nearby restaurant. It’s the perfect opportunity to meet fellow collectors, share collecting stories, and begin a memorable week immersed in numismatics and Swiss culture.
Day 2, Tuesday, October 20: NUMISMATIC INSIGHTS & SWISS HERITAGE
Your first full day begins with a special visit to a renowned coin shop Erwin Dietrich AG, whose decades of experience in rare coins and monetary history have made them highly respected in the field. Hearing his insights firsthand offers a fascinating perspective on the global coin market and the stories behind the world’s most remarkable pieces.
Lunch takes place at the historic Zeughauskeller, one of Zurich’s most beloved traditional restaurants. Located in a former medieval armory, it serves hearty Swiss classics such as sausages, rösti, and local specialties in a lively historic setting.
In the afternoon, explore the outstanding Swiss National Museum, whose castle-like architecture houses one of the country’s most comprehensive collections of Swiss cultural history. Exhibits span centuries of artifacts—from medieval craftsmanship to monetary history—providing rich context for the evolution of Switzerland’s economy and identity. The main attraction is sure to be the Museum’ coin cabinets, containing around 10,000 objects, including banknotes, securities, credit cards, coin-minting dies and coins and medals. With some 30,000 items, the collection of Swiss coins is probably the largest collection of its kind in the world. A special exhibition, Switzerland, the land of banks, will be of special interest to our guests, showing how deeply banking is entrenched in Switzerland’s DNA. The evening is yours to explore Zurich’s vibrant dining scene.
Day 3, Wednesday, October 21: CHOCOLATE, ALPINE VIEWS & OLD TOWN EXPLORATION
Switzerland is synonymous with chocolate and today begins with a visit to the spectacular Lindt Home of Chocolate. Here you’ll discover the history of Swiss chocolate-making, watch master chocolatiers at work, and marvel at the world’s tallest chocolate fountain. Of course, tastings are part of the experience—making this stop a highlight for every traveler.
Next, ascend to Uetliberg Mountain, Zurich’s local mountain and one of the most scenic viewpoints in the region. Enjoy lunch at a mountaintop restaurant while taking in sweeping views of Lake Zurich, the city's skyline, and, on clear days, the snow-capped Alps stretching across the horizon.
The afternoon offers free time to explore Zurich at your own pace. Wander the cobblestone lanes of the historic Old Town, browse the boutiques of Bahnhofstrasse, or enjoy coffee along the Limmat River. Dinner is on your own, allowing you to discover Zurich’s diverse culinary scene.
Day 4, Thursday, October 22: THE HISTORY OF MONEY & NUMISMATIC EXCELLENCE
Today is a highlight for collectors with a visit to the extraordinary Money Museum, one of the world’s most fascinating institutions dedicated entirely to the history of money. Founded by Erwin Dietrich, the museum’s collection spans ancient coins, early forms of currency, and rare monetary artifacts that illustrate how money has shaped civilizations throughout history.
Lunch follows at Soul, offering contemporary cuisine in a stylish setting. In the afternoon, you’ll visit Sincona AG, a prestigious auction house known worldwide among collectors for its exceptional numismatic sales. Today’s excursion takes you to the enchanting lakeside city of Lucerne, one of Switzerland’s most beautiful destinations. Surrounded by dramatic mountains and set along the shores of Lake Lucerne, the city perfectly captures the romance of the Swiss landscape.
Stroll across the iconic Kapellbrücke, a 14th-century wooden covered bridge adorned with historic paintings, and admire the medieval towers that line the old city walls. You’ll also visit the poignant Lion Monument, carved into rock to honor Swiss Guards who died during the French Revolution.
After a delightful lunch in town, enjoy time wandering Lucerne’s charming streets, browsing specialty shops, or relaxing along the lakeside before returning to Zurich for dinner near the hotel.

Its extensive collections cover centuries of Swiss history—including archaeological treasures, historical artifacts, and objects that illuminate the economic and cultural development of the nation. The permanent Einstein exhibition is a must-see. Einstein was living in Bern when he turned our ideas of space and time upside down with his theory of relativity in 1905.
Afterward, you’ll have free time for lunch and exploration—perhaps strolling past the famous Zytglogge clock tower or browsing the boutiques beneath Bern’s historic arcades. Dinner is on your own back in Zurich.
